About Tour Charleston, LLC

No other Charleston tour company has attracted more media attention than Tour Charleston. Since we gave our first tour in 1996, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Southern Living, National Geographic Traveler, Travel + Leisure, In Style and hundreds of newspapers across the U.S., U.K. and Australia have featured and recommended our ghost and history tours.  

Our founder, Julian T. Buxton III, and his wife Polly are native Charlestonians with deep roots in South Carolina. Their passion and respect for the history, culture and people here inspire and guide their every decision for Tour Charleston, LLC.   

After studying history at Princeton University and spending time teaching humanities and writing on the west coast, Julian felt called home to write and tell stories about the history, mystery and wonder of Charleston.
